How do we write down and vote on our group's rules?

AdminMembers

Partnership Rules documents the agreements your group actually runs on (usage etiquette, cost habits, operating policies) and lets members vote on them. They are advisory: the system records what was agreed but does not enforce it. The enforced limits live in booking rules, under Group settings.

Creating a rule

  1. Open Partnership Rules and click Create Rule (admins and owners only)
  2. Give it a title and a category: operations, maintenance, usage, booking, financial or general
  3. Write the full rule text in plain language
  4. Create it; members are able to vote from that moment

Voting

Open a rule and vote to approve or reject. The card shows the running vote count and approval percentage. A rule with majority approval shows as approved; with majority rejection as rejected; otherwise it stays pending.

Living with rules

  • Admins toggle a rule active once adopted; inactive rules stay archived for reference
  • Edits are versioned, so the history of a rule is visible
  • Review the set periodically and retire what no longer fits

Good to know

  • Partnership rules are not enforced automatically. If you want the system to block something (quotas, advance windows, duration limits), configure booking rules instead
