Too Busy to Set It Up? We Will Build Your Group for You

Setting up a shared group in Kai is not hard, and our step-by-step guides walk through every piece: the management model, the asset and its rate, ownership shares, booking rules, maintenance. But some owners do not want to read a guide. They want to fly, sail, or drive, and they want the admin to already exist when they log in.

For them, there are two faster paths. We can build the group for you, or you can do the whole thing on one page.

Option 1: we build it for you

Tell us the basics of your group and we set it up on our side, owned by you. You send us:

• The asset: what it is (aircraft, yacht, vehicle, or property) and its model.
• The members: names and emails, and each person's ownership share.
• How you share money: a simple usage rate, or shared costs with refuel-your-own, and your currency.

From that, we assemble a ready group:

• The asset is created, with a sensible maintenance schedule for its type already scheduled.
• Every member is invited in one go, with ownership assigned.
• The management model and billing defaults are set to match how your group actually works.
• Booking rules (approval, advance window, durations) are in place.

Then we hand it to you. If you already have a Kai account, the group simply appears. If you do not, we create one for you and share a private link to set your password and claim the group. Either way, you open Kai to a group that is already working, not a blank slate.

The one thing we leave to you

Payment details. We never enter your card or your billing information, by design. When the group is handed over, choosing a plan and connecting billing is the one step that stays entirely in your hands. Everything up to that point is done; the money side is yours to confirm.

Option 2: Fast Setup, one page

If you would rather set it up yourself but skip the click-through, there is a one-page Fast Setup. Open the group switcher and choose "Fast setup (1 page)". It puts the essentials on a single screen:

• Pick your management model.
• Name the asset and choose its model from quick-picks; billing defaults fill in based on the category.
• Paste your member list and assign ownership.
• Save, and the group, the asset, its maintenance schedule, and the invites are all created at once.

As with the concierge path, billing is left for you to set up afterwards, so you can get the group standing first and decide on a plan when you are ready.

After hand-off: the Essentials page

However the group gets created, the Essentials page is where you fine-tune the handful of settings that matter: Money, Booking, Maintenance, and People, each with a readiness check so you can see at a glance what is still worth setting. It is the same settings as full configuration, just gathered onto one screen for the things new groups actually touch.
