How does the shares marketplace work?

AdminMitglieder

When a member wants to sell shares, or a group wants to bring in new co-owners, the marketplace gives the listing a public face: a page on kai-sharing.com where anyone can see the asset and express interest, without needing a Kai account.

Creating a listing

  1. Go to the Members page, open the Share registry section and pick the Buyers tab (admins and owners only)
  2. Click Create listing, choose the asset and write a headline and description
  3. Optionally set how many shares (or what percentage) are offered and an asking price. Both are marketing information only, and both can be left out: with no price the page shows "price on request", and with no size the offer simply does not state one
  4. Accept the success fee. Kai charges 300 EUR for every new member who joins the group through the marketplace, invoiced to the group separately after the shares are transferred. Members who join any other way carry no fee
  5. Add photos (you can select several at once and reorder them). A listing needs a headline and at least one photo before it can be published
  6. Click Publish

The listing appears on the public marketplace at kai-sharing.com/marketplace and gets its own page. Use Copy link to share it anywhere: social media, forums, a broker, an email signature.

What buyers see and do

The public page shows the photos, the description, a curated set of asset specifications, and the offer. Interested people leave their name, email and an optional message. They land on your buyer waitlist (same Buyers tab) with a marketplace badge, and every admin gets a notification.

From lead to co-owner

The marketplace only collects interest; the sale itself happens exactly as before:

  1. Talk to the prospect, agree on the size and price of the deal
  2. Record it with Record transfer in the registry. Waitlist prospects appear as buyer options with their email prefilled
  3. The buyer is invited to the group and the shares move when they join (or after payment is confirmed, if you use the payment gate)

When the transfer completes, the waitlist entry is fulfilled automatically.

Managing the listing

  • Pause stops new interest but keeps the page alive, so shared links do not break
  • Close ends the listing for good when the shares are sold
  • Only draft listings can be deleted; anything that was once public closes instead
  • One listing per asset

Good to know

  • The marketplace, like the rest of the share registry, is managed from the web app; the mobile apps show ownership only
  • Demo groups cannot list
  • Interest submissions are protected against bots and duplicates, and prospects agree to share their details with your group when submitting
